Maternity Leave!

Hi everyone!

I am currently on maternity leave - my son was born on January 6th and my blog posts came to a standstill shortly before he was born....who am I kidding -several months before he was born much of my work off the show came to a screeching halt...but I have lots of viewer questions that I have answered over email and I"ll be posting them here to share in the coming weeks!

Are you related to Barry Wood?
No, we are not related in any way. We are both asked this question constantly though!

Are you Barry Wood?
I am asked this less often, but it's newly and uniquely disturbing each time. We are not the same person. I did not used to be Barry Wood - unfortunately the show we did together, in which I was 8 months pregnant, in Denver, did nothing to dispel this rumor...

What software do you use on the show?
3-D Studio Max for all you designers out there. If you are a graphics novice and would like to use an easier 3D program - try Google's Sketch-Up, which is free and much less labor intensive.

When is the show on? How can we see back episodes?
You can look online at hgtv.com for schedules - some episodes are available as podcasts now I believe. New shows are on at 930pm EST.

Where do you shoot the show?
Just about everywhere in the continental US and there is a rumor about going to Hawaii next...if you are interested in being on the show, let me know. I have absolutely no power or say in this area, but I'm happy to pass it on to those that do have say.

Are you pregnant?/Are you pregnant again?
Not anymore! Had my second son in December of 2009 - since shows are always broadcast out of order...I might look pregnant on TV here and there for a while yet...

How tall are you?
Tall enough my friends! I played basketball in college, ok? Tall enough for that, almost too tall for TV. Not even my husband knows the exact number...
